Room of the Day! - Traditional Living Room

I absolutely adore this living room space. It uses a Traditional and Classic design style and has a Neutral/ Pale colour scheme with a dash of rich gold to really bring out the inner beauty of the room.

Although there a numerous patterns (on the area rug, sofa and chairs) there is still a clear balance as the patterns are added in a subtle way, and the walls are contrasting them by being more simple.

I really love this room and believe it is well designed.
(Love the furniture pieces too :))

Room of the Day- Turquoise Beach Bedroom

I love this vibrant turquoise room! Reminds me a bit of the beach. Firstly, the walls are turquoise, depicting the ocean. I love the crystal chandelier and the wall lamps; It really brings out the elegance of this room.  The wall lamps shape and style makes me think of the different sea creatures. The bed is a pastel white colour which reminds me of sand at the beach. The colour scheme really compliments each other.

It is a cute girly room! I like it!

Room of the Day!- Anna Casa's Neutral Living Room

I have literally fallen in love with this living room- the colour scheme is extremely calming and elegant. The designer, Anna Casa, has used natural neutral tones with a pop of purple. The cushions are beautiful and from the image I can feel the texture of them as well as the texture of the rug as well.

Room of the Day! - Ashy Purple with a bit of Glitz

Looking at this bathroom, it is easy to say how classy and elegant it is. People today see classy and elegant as something basic and maybe not so much work goes into it. I look at this bathroom and notice a lot of different things. Not only the obvious grey stoned walls and the crystal chandelier above the bath tub which are outstanding; but I also see the exceptional ashy purple walls which really compliment the stoned walls. The ceiling as well is sort of an ashy lilac colour which compliments the alternate shade of purple.

I love the crystal clear white bath tub, skirting boards, toilet and windows. It really brings out the overall gracefulness of the bathroom.

The dusty wooden floors and the chocolate wooden (I think it is a bathroom cabinet) are the most random colours to go with this design, but it fits in perfectly and I truly love it.

Room of the Day!- Barbie and Ken

What originally caught my eye when I saw this room was how modern it was. I love the lime green chairs, what looks to me like a kitchen table with a book shelf. The decorator put random pieces together to literally create a master piece! But what is the most outstanding random piece yet is barbie and ken walking around a pool in the form of wall art. So bespoke and different, I think it is a love or hate thing, I have always been team barbie so I'm loving this haha!

Room of the Day! -Royal Blue

Royal blue is such a striking colour and I love the way it blends with gold in this picture-It definitely looks very royal. I love the design of the coffee table, it's so modern and it blends with the neutral shade of the sofas. I think the sofas work really well because of the contrast between the dark and light tones! The royal blue is quite a dark shade and the cream sofas are fairly light. I have always said that when you have a dark vibrant colour, it is important to mix it with a light colour just because they complement each other extremely well.

Now when it comes to the finishing touches I am so intrigued by the pink flowers on the table and the plant at the back because it is so random and you won't expect it to work with the theme of the room, but when it is put together it looks phenomenal!

Room of the Day! - My Dream Office

It's no surprise that I want to be an Interior Designer and as this is my chosen profession, it is important that everything about me shows this. I see myself dealing with multiple projects in this office! There are a number of reasons I am particularly fond of this room, the main reason is how the décor is extremely eye catching; I love how luxurious it looks, with the metallic glass desk and the gold with a hint of black chandelier. I love how simple but tasteful the curtains are, I feel it works as the room itself is fairly busy. I love the patterns on the office chair and the picture frame behind it, it truly makes a difference to the room! What really makes this office stand out is all the finishing touches on the desk. There are picture frames, ornaments and vases with a variety of flowers! I am extremely blown away by this room and I am hoping to have an office like this one day!

Room of the Day! - Navy Blue

I was speaking to my dad about how it would be nice to paint one of the rooms in our house navy blue and he explained how dark and unwelcoming the room would be! I had to stop for a second to think that maybe he had a point, but I definitely knew exactly what I was talking about. Yes, navy blue is dark and it could definitely make a room look dull, but whatever colour that is used with it will really make a difference. The picture above shows what I am referring to- using white and cream brings out the blue in a refreshing way. What I was thinking instead, was having striped wallpaper- white and navy blue, but the picture is just as good.

Room of the Day!

I am actually so in love with this couch. The colour is so bold and I adore the way the cushions, the carpet and the drapes are white. The contrast between the couch and it's surroundings is so beautiful. It is not just the colour scheme, but also the material and the rendering! I can imagine this going perfectly in a walk-in closet/ dressing room at the rear end. With a beautiful crystal chandelier hanging over it and white cupboards going around this circular room where all my clothes, shoes and handbags go. In front of it can be a white or silver chest of draws with bold pink (same as the chair) hydrangeas placed nicely on top! Huge mirrors at the other end of the room with crystal detail around the board of the mirror! I love it!
